The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro is reporting that on Tuesday of this week the Foxboro Board of Selectmen turned down a license request for the August 19th / 20th Warped Tour dates outside Gillette Stadium. This is reportedly the first time in 20 years that the selectmen had turned down a license for a concert at the venue. Apparently there's some debate between the organizers, who want the concert moved into the stadium, the Warped promoters, who want it outside, and the neighbors of the site who are complaining about "noise and nuisance." Tickets were still on sale for the Boston date as of this morning, despite the ruling. The venue and promoter are currently evaluating their options and we'll have more info when it is announced.

This is not the only date of the long running festival tour that's encountered some venue issues this year, as Toronto's venue is still listed as TBA on the tour's site. Bumps in the road like these are common for tours of this size, so it's safe to say that given the time between now and August both the Boston and Toronto dates should have their details cleared up soon.
