Joe Principe from Rise Against has announced that the release date for their upcoming full length Siren Song of the Counter Culture has been set as August 10th.

The band also recently performed for an upcoming film. Here's their report:

We just got back from a movie shoot and a show in Los Angeles. The movie is called Lords of Dogtown and we were lucky enough to be asked to play a Black Flag song for a club scene in the movie. It's based on the Dogtown/Z Boys documentary that came out some months ago. It's basically about the lives of pro skaters Jay Adams, Tony Alva, and Stacey Peralta. The movie should be out summer of 2005.
