On September 10th, 2004, Chicago's The Effigies will be will be playing a reunion show at The Empty Bottle. 3/4's of the band's original lineup will be playing. This is the first time in almost 10 years that any combination of the band has played together live as The Effigies, the last time being a 1995 gig to celebrate Touch & Go's re-issue of their early material on CD. The band broke up in 1990, having come from the same 80s scene as Naked Raygun and Big Black.

The lineup for the show will be John Kezdy (vocals), Paul Zamost (bass) and Steve Economou (drums) with Robert McNaughton (Indicators, Greys) filling in on guitar. Chicago's The Krunchies and Vee Dee will also be playing the show. More info can be found at Effigies.com.
