How can any Punk site exist without paying tribute to the founding fathers. The pursuit of punk rock education must include this. Along side the Ramones, and a little later, Iggy and, er, what was that band called...the Sex Pistols led the way. And Jonny Rotten is still whining about it. Sid barely played in the recording of this album - some say not at all. Mr. Rotten sqealed and yelled and complained, and the result was punk ecstasy. So, those of you out there judging bands because they can't play worth shyte, well, you should know that it's all part of the tradition. Some music is good, some sucks, chances are if all you can do is play well enough to impress the trained ear that your music belongs in the latter category. Virtuosity breeds ignorance... punk and ignorance are not good bedfellows.
