Atreyu's earlier releases were characteristically more punk hardcore than their latest efforts, having added more melodic metal qualities to their style. The drum and guitar work on the album have a clean and distinct sound without losing that rough around the edges ‘post-hardcore' feel, which can be attributed to the album's excellent mixing and production. The lyrics reveal the lead singer's innermost thoughts and feelings about love, loss and everything painful.
