Subb recording new album

Montreal punk/ska/reggae group Subb is in the studio recording a followup to their 2006 album, The Motions. The album is scheduled for a spring 2009 release.

The band recently updated their blog, documenting their time spent recording.

So far, so good! JF recorded 13 drum tracks this weekend. He'll do two more next week, and same thing for Steph, the bass is done on 13 tracks! Pretty amazing hen? Mart & Math will record guitars next week too. I'll do vocals later on, somewhere in December.

I was looking through some stuff my wife had put aside to put into storage, and I found a bunch of old cassette tapes, one of which had a live recording I made of Propagandhi at Emo's in Austin,TX almost 12 years ago or so. It stills sounds perfect and I was surprised that it was such a clean recording from what I had used during that time... some shitty,little sony hand-held class recorder. Man, I'm so glad I bought that thing now.

i am so incredibly excited for this..'the motions' was an incredible comeback for them. i just wish they'd leave quebec and play the rest of canada. please!
