The Fest 3 "Triple Threat in 3D" has been announced. The event will take place in Gainesville FL on October 29th, 30th and 31st. The event will feature approximately 70 bands playing at 5 venues in the city over the weekend. Advance tickets to the weekend of shows is $25. Here's the scoop from organizer Tony Weinbender:

If you are not familiar with the concept behind THE FEST it is pretty easy. You come and run your ass all over Gainesville and see a ton of bands. You party your ass off, stay up late, meet crazy people, dance, sing along, party with old and new friends, see some of the bands passed out in the streets, and then leave wondering, why can't this shit happen everyday of our lives. So, start training your liver, get a sleep deprivation tank, sport a tude, and tell your family and work that you might not be making it back. We will be working hard to insure that THE FEST 3 will top all others. Fuck all those pretentious festivals that cost a ton of loot, swarming with industry schmoozers buying the next fucking thing drinks, or festivals where you stand in one place for several days watching your life pass you by. This is THE FEST. This is a collaborative effort. You breathe the life in it and make it what you want. When we all come together we truly make one nasty fucking punk rock Voltron.
