Plan-It-X has plans to buy a school bus and take a sizable chunk of their roster on tour in the summer of `05. The bands plan to hit up both the east and west coast of the US between June 18th and July 18th next summer. Bands on the bus include: Ghost Mice, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, The Max Levine Ensemble, One Reason, Madeline, Door-Keys, Carrie Nations, Rosa and Defiance Ohio. hopefully all of the plan-it-x bands will be playing at least some of the shows, but the list above should be the bands that will be doing the whole 4 weeks. this list might change. the idea is to have a touring DIY fest. we should be showing up each day around 11:00am and there will hopefully be events during the day, like skill shares, workshops, speakers, games, fun stuff, food etc. then at 4:00-5:00 bands will start. all the bands will share EQ and play short sets so no one gets bored. we hope to have at least 2 local bands play each show too. hopefully this will bring more people together and hopefully we can bring something to each town we play and everyone will learn a lot. the bands are not as excited about this as i am. everyone is really worried about being on a bus with 39 other people for 4 weeks. i understand their concerns but i think it will be a great experience. you guys should email the bands and tell them that everything will be okay and let them know you are excited about this. i am more excited than a coked up 4 year old or a new lover about to take that first chance kiss.
