Dates have been announced for My Chemical Romance's upcoming headlining tour this fall. The 28-city jaunt will include openers Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect.

My Chemical Romance is touring in support of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge which sold more than 826,000 copies in the United States. Both Alkaline Trio and Reggie and touring in support of their recent Vagrant releases, Crimson and Songs Not to Get Married To respectively.

MCR vocalist Gerard Way recently spoke to MTV about the tour saying:

We'd talked about bringing out dancers for our headlining tour in the fall, but it's a big undertaking; you have to have a bus full of dancers. We've always wanted to do a big theatrical tour. But you have to do it in steps. You can't just spring it on people all at once. So we've been working on video content and lighting for the fall tour -- just some stuff we've never had. And hopefully with our next U.S. tour -- which might be for our next album -- we'll have some real theatrical stuff.
