Long Island ska-punks the Arrogant Sons of Bitches have pushed back the release of their long-awaited, forthcoming full-length, Three Cheers for Disappointment. The album was originally scheduled to come out on October 25th but has been delayed indefinitely. The band mentioned the following in a blog posting on their Myspace page:
Please understand that pushing the release date back on this album was the last thing any of us wanted to do, but we figured that since we spent what, like, four years telling you this album was gonna come out that we might as well wait the extra week to make sure it's done right. In fact, did you know that we recorded this ENTIRE album ALREADY but it didn't sound good so we threw it all away? It's TRUE! WE'RE IDIOTS!
Kill Normal Records is expected to release the album some time before the end of the year.
In the meantime, a complete stream of the album will eventually find its way online broken up into four sections. Four songs from the album have been posted, with two respective sets of four to replace them in the coming days, unto which one last song from the 13-track album will go up.
