Takeover Records has announced the signing of rovidence, Rhode Island's Monty. The band was chosen via more than 65,000 votes spread over 10 finalists in the label's Sign My Band Contest.
The quintet previously released The Red Shift independently, and two different sets of tracks can be found on their myspace and purevolume pages.
Last year's "Sign My Band" contest winners, Strike Fire Fall, have recently finished recording their debut LP, which will see a release in 2006 on Takeover Records.
