Stockyard Stoics have recently departed ways with their drummer J.P. Here is what the band had to say about him departing and looking for a new bandmate:

You gotta play real good and be nice and love the kids. We play 77-ish punk rock with excursions into fast hardcore punk and slow melodic ska-reggae-ness. Formative listening was the Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Pogues, Bob Marley, DOA, etc.

Most of all it is important to be excited about recording and touring, expanding your DIY punk rock horizons, and playing a few great shows and a bunch of half-assed ones.

The band released Catastrophe on Bankshot! Records in 2004.

Brooklyn's Finest, Stockyard Stoics are in need of a new drummer. Joe Piglet has sent out an all-points-bulletin for cool dudes in the NYC-Metro area:

You will get to record an awesome record and tour to exotic locales. You will not get money or rock star indulgence. You may get free beer sometimes, especially in Europe. No political resume is required but we tend towards PC lefty [politics] so please no boneheads. No women who take 45 minutes to put on make-up or men who want to be in a band for all the hot snatch. Please.

An added bonus will be if you do not mind adopting the punk nickname "Das Thud." We eagerly await your email. xo Stockyard Stoics stockyardstoics@riseup.net
