Following Samiam's lead, Horace Pinker have cancelled their Polar Fest appearance and mini tour including a show with Against Me! in Ottawa.

We hate to do this and sorry to everyone involved with helping us set up shows and everyone that was excited to see us play, but we have decided to follow the lead of Samiam and bow out of Polarfest.

We've always had reservations about the show and it's promoters (venue changes, bands not confirmed, lack of communication), but we remained optimistic that everything would work out in the end. We know how hard it is to pull off a "festival" show like this, but we've been doing this a long time and all the signs are there for a totally disorganized show without all the headliners as promised. We booked this mini tour around Polarfest and just can't justify the travel and expense of going to Montreal with so many things up in the air.

The band released Texas One Ten earlier this year, and promised a full North American tour in the Spring of 2006.

Update: The band has clarified that they have not canceled their Chicago, IL date on the 22nd of December.
