Alkaline Trio have promised a change in structure for their recently announced tour with Against Me!. The band has redubbed the tour The Occult Roots of Alkaline Trio: Early Songs for Eerie People and is promising both electric and acoustic performances.

Frontman Matt Skiba is also promising to look back into the band's catalog which stretches back to the late 90s, saying:

We feel that much of our older catalog has been neglected for far too long, there are people out there who have been loyal to the band over the years despite the many changes that have taken place. We feel that we owe our loyal following a chance to hear songs that haven't been played in years, and we feel that we owe it to ourselves to revisit those songs that have gotten us where we are today.

Some sources also claim that the band will be performing some of their older albums in their entirety, like the fan-favorite Goddamnit. The dates come shortly after the Trio completes two tours that take them through Europe and Australia.

The popular Chicago band continues to support their recent full length, Crimson. The album was re-released this past December in a "Deluxe" version with bonus material.

The first two weeks of the tour have been announced and more dates are expected soon.
