Following Saddle Creek's example, Blackout! Records has announced plans to offer "digital vinyl." The label will includes codes with each vinyl LP version of the release allowing listeners to download the entire album for no additional cost via Audiolunchbox. The label explained:
It's a real pain to try to rip LPs. We believe that the people who buy the collectible vinyl should be able to listen to it everywhere."As future releases are planned, Blackout! hopes to offer similar releases digitally as well.
