by Sunday Edition

It's Sunday May 7th, 2006. Rock and roll is bedridden this week. In one hemisphere we have the Keith Richards, the man that age and substance abuse cannot fell, apparently falling out of a coconut tree and ending up in brain surgury. On the other side of the world we now have word that Fats Domino was hospitalized, interrupting his apperance at the first post-Katrina New Orleans Jazz Fest. There's no word if Fats was up in a tree though, so there may not be a connection. A speedy recovery to all regardless.

Stories you were talking about this week

Fall Out Boy doesn't typically rise to the top of our news heap here, but when parents condemn one of their shows as a liberal homosexual rally it seems to get people's attention. The hype for the new Rise Against record is building, and this week saw the posting of both the album's cover art and the song "Chamber the Cartridge." The final album of new recorded material from the late, great Johnny Cash was announced this week as well. The upcoming tour featuring Lagwagon, the Lawrence Arms and A Wilhelm Scream grabbed a lot of attention, as did Fat's announcement regarding new Strike Anywhere and Against Me! releases. This week saw a new video from None More Black, the Fall of Troy hitting the breaks, a new book announcement from Greg Graffin, and more on the future of Lifetime.

It's been a long time in the works but our interview with Dead Kennedys / Alternative Tentacles Records principle Jello Biafra ran today. Definitely don't miss this one.
