Mustard Plug bassist Rick Johnson recently embarked on a project with the goal of releasing a new digital four-song single every month for a year. The songwriting exercise is released under his solo moniker the Rick Johnson Rock and Roll Machine. You can download both May and June's entries in the series, along with artwork, from his website.

Johnson records using a theremin, a bass guitar and a laptop. He recently collaborated with Bomb the Music Industry on the split 7" President's Day and released the full length Remember Forever and Ever and Ever.
