Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue has fleshed out his solo touring schedule this summer. The 10-day tour will have Kensrue hitting the East Coast with Ben Nichols of Lucero, and the West Coast with Chuck Ragan, formerly of Hot Water Music and Yellow Red Sparks.

Kensrue has taken a brief respite from writing with Thrice for their soon-to-be-announced project to finish a solo album which has been quietly in the works for two years. Kensrue did a short tour of the West Coast in 2004 and live MP3's from the show have been a highly sought after commodity online ever since. The singer posted a few of the live songs on his MySpace page including the aptly-titled original, "Folk Song", and two covers - the first, a version of the Counting Crows' "Around Here" and the second, a cover of Radiohead's "Creep." In addition to the mysterious project Thrice is undertaking, Kensrue assures us that the details for his solo album will be announced shortly.

Ragan, who recently closed the book on Hot Water Music for the forseeable future, mentioned his new solo act in his farewell letter to HWM fans. Details on his solo record are also expected shortly.
