Recently reunited Australian punk act Radio Birdman have announced a record release show for their first new record in twenty-five years.

Radio Birdman's original run lasted from 1974 to 1978, releasing the records Radios Appear and Living Eyes (with the latter not being released outside Australia). Their full line up of reunited for the Big Day Out festivals in `96 and `97, resulting in the live record Ritualism. In 2001 their profile in the US rose with the Sub Pop released compilation The Essential Radio Birdman: 1974-1978.

The show celebrates the release of Zeno Beach which is due out mid-August. The label had this to say:

Yep Roc is set to release the disc mid August. Radio Birdman are, and always have been, independent of the mainstream music industry. The new recording, as well as their live performance schedule, is totally self-financed and self-directed. They see their independence as essential to maintaining complete artistic freedom. What you hear is solely the creative output of the band - not a marketing strategy. This year will be an eventful one for Radio Birdman and their many fans. Those who love the real thing are invited to climb aboard…it promises to be an amazing trip.

The free show takes place in San Francisco, California at Annies Social on 917 Folson Street.
