by Immortal

A publicist for Immortal Records act Brazil has reported that keyboardist Nic Newby has been forced to leave the band's ongoing Californian tour and report in for six weeks of court-ordered therapy in Indiana. The sentence is due to an unspecified "brief run-in with the law" last year in the band's hometown of Munice, IN. He will return to the band in time for their October tour with Say Anything.

Brazil's new album on The Philosophy of Velocity hits stores on October 3rd. It was produced by Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse) and follows up the band's 2004 full length A Hostage and the Meaning of Life.
