Earlier this week, Green Day and U2 debuted their recently announced charity cover of The Skids' "The Saints Are Coming" live at the newly reopened Louisiana Superdome.

The arena opened after being closed for more than a year following the Katrina disaster last year. Some of the last images seen before Monday were of thousands of displaced New Orleans residents trying in vain to find shelter from the rain and flooding. On Monday, the performance took place as part of a pre-game show before the first game played in the Superdome since the hurricane hit.

The song is set to benefit Music Rising, an organization that replaces instruments musicians lost in Hurricane and a studio version is available for purchase via Rhapsody.com. You can also find the performance online via YouTube.
