Alive act SSM has announced plans to bring their "avant rock" to Europe in early 2007. The band, which features John Szymanski (Hentchmen, Paybacks), Dave Shettler (The Sights), and Marty Morris (Cyril Lords) return after releasing their self-titled full length .

The New York Times has called the record "a warped reinvention" and one that "brilliantly twists its chosen genre." Newly available is a 6-song EP with five new tracks and a remix. The distinctive cover is once again the work of painter Matt Gordon, while Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys collaborates as sound engineer on 3 tracks, the rest of the release being the work of Chris Koltay. Also collaborating on this mini CD is legendary Detroit organist Lyman Woodard who plays on SSM's rendering of 'Belle Isle Daze', a song he also wrote. SSM.
