The Chariot have announced plans to release their new album, The Fiancee on April 7th, 2007. The record is the follow up to both the album, Everything is Alive, Everything is Breathing, Nothing is Dead, and Nothing is Bleeding and the EP, Unsung.

Speaking on the difference between the upcoming album and 2004's debut, vocalist Josh Scogin says:

I believe this album is a lot more mature, musically and lyrically and will define who The Chariot is. The lyrics actually came out darker than anything I have ever put out in the past, which was not intentional since my life is actually brighter than it has ever been, it just sort of came out that way."

The band will be previewing the record on an upcoming tour with Norma Jean and A Life Once Lost.
