Bay Area label Orange Peal Records have announced the signing of San Diego's The Stranger's Six.

Glen Schwartz, head of artist and repertoire (A&R) for Orange Peal Records said the following about the signing:

When I heard The Stranger Six's unmastered record I booked a flight to see them absolutely kill it at the House of Blues. Within a month we had an agreement and to say that I am excited to have them in our lineup would be a vast understatement. Our powder keg of possibilities for 2007 is ready to explode.

The band's full-length debut, A Date With Daylight, is scheduled to be released May 8, 2007. This previously unreleased album was nominated for Best Punk/Rock Album at the San Diego Music Awards in 2006. You can listen to some music from the album here.
