70s era Chula Vista, California punk band the Zeros will reunite for a tour of Spain later this month. The band will perform without original bassist Hector Penalosa, with former Dragons bassist Steve Rodriguez filling the spot.

On April 19th the band will commence the tour, following it by a headlining appearance at the annual Road To Ruins festival in Rome on the 27th. Dates are available from local sources. Bomp Records is reporting that the band plans to release a live DVD in the near future as well.

The Zeros, known as "the Mexican Ramones" in their day, were formed in 1976 by Robert Lopez, Javier Escovedo, Hector Penalosa and Baba Chenelle. The band notably provided the Germs with their first gig, as that band opened for the Zeros first major show in Los Angeles.
