Perhaps competing with Thrice for biggest pre–release media blitz, Say Anything has posted a trailer for their forthcoming release In Defense of the Genre.

The first review of the album has also surfaced, with Rolling Stone giving it three of five stars, saying:

The album mostly sticks to serrated emo but ranges from big, string–laden ballads to a faux show tune […] If he could only handle ladies with the same ease with which he turns out good melodies, he'd be all right.
