This was sent to us by the fine folks at Punkbands.Com: I recieved a list of upcoming releases from Side One Dummy Records and listed was The Mighty Mighty Bosstones "A Jackknife to a Swan" which is to hit stores on July 9th. Later in the day I was told by a source close to the band that they did in fact switch labels. The band is also no longer listed on Island's list of artists. Awesome. I'm so glad that the ska bands that "survived" the late 90s explosion are returning to indie labels. More power to the Bosstones…I've got a bit more info on the signing for you. A nameless source from the Bosstones camp said the deal was made in October 2001. Also, Joe Sib, the Bosstones' manager is one of the owners of Side One Dummy.
