Sub Pop signs Obits (ex-Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes)

Sub Pop has signed Brooklyn, NY-based Obits. Notably, the band features Rick Froberg, former vocalist of both Hot Snakes and Drive Like Jehu.

The group is working with Girls Against Boys' Eli Janney and Geoff Sanoff at Brooklyn's Seaside Lounge studio on their forthcoming Sub Pop debut. Some recordings from the band can be found on their myspace page.

Prior to the full length, Obits are planning a 7-inch titled One Cross Apiece and are planning some East Coast shows alongside the Night Marchers which includes Froberg's frequent bandmate John Reis.
