Devo announce new album

Akron, OH's Devo are recording their first new album in 19 years. The band will feature a line up of Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale supported by Bob Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale and Josh Freese on drums (Nine Inch Nails, The Vandals, A Perfect Circle).

The band also plans to play some shows in 2009, including a SXSW appearance, a May 6th show in London where they'll play Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! in it's entirety, and an appearance at All Tomorrow's Parties. Devo last released Smooth Noodle Maps in 1990.
