Philadelphia's The Menzingers are currently working on their new EP titled Hold On Dodge. The release will mark the first material for their new home, Red Scare Industries.

The band's last release was A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology back in 2007.

Each member of the band will be submitting a studio journal to Punknews, and today we bring you the first Episode from drummer Joe Godino.

Hey guys! So we're in Union City, NJ right now at Cannon Found Soundation studios recording our 7" EP with Jesse Cannon. It's so great to be back here after more than 2 years, we recorded A Lesson.. here with Jesse in January of 2007. Everything about the experience here is unforgettable. Jesse is the most efficient and knowledgeable dude we've ever worked with and we're very fortunate to have someone who cares about music as much as he does taking a part in the EP.

We got here around 4pm today, set our shit up and then I started tracking drums and finished a few hours ago. We then got pizza and hung out with a dude from Argentina who taught us spanish and some sick handshakes. So yeah, I'm done now and we're here for 3 more days so I'll be keeping myself busy by watching about 4 seasons of Lost, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Well, it's about 1am and the massive building we're in has to be over 100 years old and is straight out of a Resident Evil game and creepy as shit, so I'm going to explore. Take care guys! Buy the damn 7" in May too, thanks!
