Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground have announced plans to release their self-titled debut on CD format for the first time on May 26, 2009. The release was made only available on vinyl and all 1000 copies of the double LP sold out before the band's release party in their hometown of Seattle.

The band is currently in the process of recording their second LP, The band is planning to tour with mewithoutYou in June.
