Contributed by granados, Posted by Aubin Paul Anti- 15 years ago

The Weakerthans founder (and former Propagandhi member) John K. Samson was recently named Winnipeg's Art Ambassador for Music by the city's Arts Council. Samson joins ambassadors in the fields of theater, visual arts, music, dance, and literary arts, who will advocate for their art forms within the city and beyond.

Along with his award winning work in the Weakerthans, Samson is a founding member of Arbeiter Ring Publishing, a publishing collective. He also released City Route 85 [7 inch] last year.
