Avenged Sevenfold announce repalcement for Mike Portnoy

Contributed by alex101, Posted by Ben Conoley Warner Music Group 15 years ago

In late reported 2010 we reported that Avenged Sevenfold would be looking to replace drummer Mike Portnoy, who had been filling in on drum duties after the death of their founding drummer, Jimmy Sullivan, in December, 2009.

The band has announced that they have ended their search, and brought former Confide drummer Arin Ilejay on board as a permanent player. Avenged Sevenfold told NME that Ilejay was recommended to them by their longtime drum tech Mike Fasano.
