The Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn is currently in Austin, TX working on a solo project with producer Mike McCarthy. Finn has created a tumblog to document the recording process; that can be seen here.
Despite his solo venture, Finn has confirmed that the Hold Steady will begin work on their sixth full-length in September. They last released Heaven Is Whenever in 2010.
