Victory Records has announced the signing of Southern Ontario's Silverstein. The band, taking their name from famous children's author Shel Silverstein, is a product of the same region that has produced bands like Grade, Jersey, Moneen and Somehow Hollow. The band self-released an EP titled "Summer's Stellar Gaze" in Summer 2000 and another titled "When the Shadows Beam" in October 2002. The second EP fell into the hands of Victory Records and the band was soon signed. Their debut album will be released in early 2003.
