The Bloody Five: "(I Wanna Go To) New York City" (The Demics)
by

Toronto-based The Bloody Five have posted the video for their cover of The Demics's punk classic, "(I Wanna Go To) New York City." It was, in fact, shot in New York City by Martin Wojtunik and Zoe Alexopoulos.

The song was originally written by The Demics who formed in London, Ontario in 1977. Lead singer Keith Whittaker was originally from Manchester, England, explaining the band's English punk sound. They ended up moving to nearby Toronto to be closer to the punk scene and this song was their breakout single.
