Surviving Beastie Boys to write memoir
by

The New York Times is reporting that the two surviving members of the Beastie Boys have signed a deal with Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau to write a book about their three decades together.

The book is expected in 2015, and journalist Sacha Jenkins will be editing. Michael Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) are aiming to "challenge the form" of the rock memoir and are structuring it as a "multidimensional experience" with "a kaleidoscopic frame of reference."

Last year, Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away after a long battle with cancer.
