Joyce Manor recording new album

Joyce Manor
by Bryne Yancey Asian Man 12 years ago

Joyce Manor are currently holed up in the Lair in West Hollywood, CA recording their third LP with Joe Reinhart of Algernon Cadwallader producing. Bassist Matt Ebert spoke to OC Weekly about the direction of the new material:

I would say [the new album] is closer to [our first, self-titled album] in the sense that the songs are more straightforward and not so much experimental … I don't want to say our last record was experimental but it was definitely a studio project.

The studio project Ebert refers to is Joyce Manor's 2012 effort Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired.
