Earlier this year, Joe Nolte of The Last suffered a stroke. Due to the severity of the stroke, Nolte has been unable to live at home due to medical requirements. His friends and family have established a fund to help modify Nolte's home so that he can move back home. You can find information here.

The Last were one of the first wave of LA punk bands and also broke ground by mixing power-pop and garage rock with a harder punk sound. The modern version of the band includes Bill Stevenson and Karl Alvarez, also of The Descendents. The band last released 'Danger!' in 2013.
