Max Romeo recording new album with Daniel Boyle
by John Gentile 10 years ago

Reggae legend Max Romeo, who influenced a lot of the early UK punk scene including The Clash, The Slits and Madness, is working on a new album. For the album, Romeo is working with producer Daniel Boyle, who produced Lee "Scratch" Perry's recent album, Back at the Controls. The album will include a host of famed Jamaican musicians including Robbie Lyn on Keys, Trombonist Vin Gordon and Glen Da'costa of the Upsetter band and Bob Marley and the Wailers. Boyle also plans to use Lee "Scratch" Perry on some of the dub cuts. You can find more info here. Hear a few of Romeo's most famous tunes below.
