National Rock Review mentioned in a recent article that punk veterans Rancid are currently in the studio recording a new album. Thought the article focused mainly on the band's New Year's Day performance at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco, CA, a brief line seems to confirm new music is in the works:

All in all, it was a perfect evening. With Rancid in the studio working on a new album, hopefully, it is a taste of things to come.

Release information, at this point, is unknown, but the new work will be the first offering from the band since their 2014 album …Honor is All We Know . You can catch Rancid at this year's Groezrock and Coachella music festivals.
