You probably know that Stanford Student Brock Turner was recently sentenced to six months in prison for the rape of a woman. Following that, Turner's childhood friend, and drummer for Good English, Leslie Rasmussen wrote a letter asking the judge for leniency on behalf of Turner. After this letter went public, Northside Festival, an annual Brooklyn festival, dropped Good English from its lineup. The festival merely stated "Due to recent information brought to our attention, Good English is no longer playing Northside Festival." Good English also had other shows scheduled around the festival, but those shows have been canceled as well. If anything else develops, we will let you know.
