Morrissey's at it again
by

It looks like Morrissey is yet again causing drama. This time, he is rankling some people's feathers through his active wear options. On his current tour, Morrissey is selling a new t-shirt that quotes The Smiths "Unlovable." The shirt has the lyrics "“I wear black on the outside/'Cause black is how I feel on the inside.” However, the front of the shirt also features a picture of writer/activist James Baldwin who was African-American. In the image, Baldwin appears to be wearing a black shirt.

Morrissey is apparently a fan of Baldwin, having covered his love of two of Baldwin's books in his own autobiography and show images of him during his live shows. On social media, some people have taken issue with the fact that Morrissey is contrasting those particular lyrics against the image of an African-American person as well as the fact that Morrissey put his name on the actor's shoulder in the image. Moz has not yet responded to the issue.
