Billboard is reporting that Rykodisc has signed The Fire Theft. The band features three former members of Sunny Day Real Estate. Their currently untitled debut album is lined up for a September 23 release in North America. International editions (with bonus track) are expected on October 7th. The group is working on the album in a Los Angeles studio with longtime collaborator Brad Wood.
