On Friday, Mike Hudson, singer and songwriter Cleveland's The Pagans, passed away in his Los Angeles home. He was 61 and died from complications resulting from a laceration of the intestine. Speaking to Cleveland.com, Hudson's girlfriend Martie Hatcher stated "He woke up Thursday laughing and feeling fine and then started feeling pain in the afternoon. His was in ER by the evening and was told he would need surgery or he would die from sepsis. The doctors also thought that he had advanced colon cancer and might have a couple months. He told the doctors that he didn't think he'd wake up if he had the surgery. So he told them, 'I've had my adventures and my escapades and have lived a full, wonderful life and want to go home to be with my babies.'"

The Pagans were an influential first wave Cleveland punk, who released numerous albums and singles during their permutations. The band made a name for themselves by not only having great songs, but by having wild live shows and also for their dedication to early garage rock. Hear some of the band's songs below.
