Pam the Funkstress of the Coup has passed away

Unfortunately, on December 22, Pam the Funkstress, DJ for The Coup, passed away. She was 51. Pam underwent an organ transplant on November 18 and had been in critical condition since then. Pam joined the Coup prior to their first album, 1993's Kill My Landlord. Although she stopped touring with the group by the mid 2000s, she continued to contribute to the group and usually performed with them live in the Bay area until her passing. Pam also served as a DJ for Prince near the end of Prince's career. Check out some of Pam's works below.
