Taking Back Sunday is currently in the process of re-booting their band after guitarist/chief lyricist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper left the band over myriad personal and professional differences. Replacing John is Breaking Pangaea singer/guitarist Fred Mascherino [no word on who exactly is wielding the 4-string]. This might have you wondering what exactly is going on in Breaking Pangaea's camp. Fred recently posted a brief message on BP's webpage, stating that the band has gone into a bit of a coma for the time being, as Fred is in Taking Back Sunday and also has a second child on the way.

So what happened to John and Shaun? Furthermore, what happened to Will Noon, drummer of Breaking Pangaea? After talking with Will tonight, I now know the answer - all three men [along with John's sister, Michelle] have formed a new band called Straylight Run. The band will head off on their first tour in September; 9 headlining dates with Christiansen and JamisonParker opening. Those dates are posted below.

Even though both Will and Fred are currently playing in different bands, Breaking Pangaea is still not officially dead. They didn't name their newest EP Phoenix for no reason…
