Dropkick Murphys have announced the cancellation of all of their 2020 Boston shows where they would be playing to a live audience due to COVID-19. All of the previously purchased tickets will be refunded with the band saying in a statement, “We want you to be able to use your cash for your family in these uncertain times… Ticketmaster or the venue box office will be sending out an email directly to you with ticket refund instructions.” Dropkick Murphys also announced the tour cancellation of their Boston to Berkeley 2 co-headling tour with Rancid earlier this month. Dropkick Murphys released 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory in 2017. Read the band’s full statement below.
Hey everyone -
We are sad to announce the cancellation of all Boston shows with a live audience for the rest of the year.
This includes the September shows at House of Blues and Big Night Live, and the November show at Encore Casino.
It’s unclear when large public events will start up again - and we don’t want your money to be tied up all summer. We want you to be able to use your cash for your family in these uncertain times… Ticketmaster or the venue box office will be sending out an email directly to you with ticket refund instructions.
On a positive note…keep an eye out for a big announcement from us!! We hope you and your families are all well.
