Power pop band formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1998. The original band consisted only of vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and keyboard/guitarist Nick Wheeler. After the band was signed to Doghouse Records, the band added more musicians to their now four–piece lineup.

The independent buzz around the self–titled debut had the band's debut picked up by major label Dreamworks, who went on to see the album reach #25 on the Billboard top 200. The follow up, Move Along has been certified Gold.
