The Turbo A.C.'s are a New York based punk band influenced by both punk rock'n'roll by the likes of Social Distortion and the Supersuckers as well as Californian surf rock. The latter particularly shows in the guitar work of frontman Kevin Cole. In 1996 the band put out their first full length Damnation Overdrive on New York based hardcore label Blackout. This was followed on releases on Cacophone, Nitro and most recently Gearhead, produced by a number of punk personalities including Agnostic Front's Roger Miret and the Dwarves' Blag Dahlia.

Despite having their roots in the NY scene the band has seen more success as a touring act outside that region. The band has spent considerable time touring in Europe behind releases on Germany's Blitzcore label.
